REMEMBER!!!!

this is the point of Martin's Cove. Prisident Gordan B. Hinckley once took his family into the cove there he told them this statement. He said " I have been to the Jeruslem, to the sacred grove, to the mount of olives. I have been to Nauvoo, Indepence, Far west, Carthage, Palmria, and to the sacred grove. I have Dedicated many temples. But here on the ground upon which we stand Is sacred and Hollowed ground. In all My Many Travels to all the grounds of historical sanificance that the churh has. No place is more special and Sacred then here at martins cove for the Savior walked here. as well as the many other sites where our ansestors were caught in that terrible storm of 1856." Those are the words of president Hinckley to his family. May we also remember the Hollowed and sacred ground. for all that took place of tragidy, but also for the examples which were given.

statues at martins cove

These are statues of the four young men that helped the whole Martin hand cart company across the sweet water intot he cove. A peice the young men made 36 crossings in order to get the whole company across. there are 3 statues here at martins cove, but they statues have no names cause they are in dedication to all who came out to rescue the Martin and Willie Hand Cart companies.

I was the first one to enter the water carrying Ubriana Nelson in my arms. i did not receive any greater knowledge of what the saints went through or the four beloved brothern who carried the whole Martin hand cart company across sweet water. but i do know that the ground we stould on was sacred and hollowed ground. I bare witness that the story of the saints is not somthing made up. as the claim the holocaust to have been. i know with out a shadow of a doubt the saints did come and suffer again trials. but it was for us. so that we may remember the faith, obiedence, and the love for the spirit of Elijah that was the driving force for all the saints to come on there journey and possible enter the salt lake valley, to begin the work of building a temple, a continueing the stone which was cut out of the mountain with out hands. this i do testify and seal my testimony in the sacred name of Jesus Christ our lord and Savior,
Amen.

On to Zion

We are marching ever marching. i was blessed to be able to go on a trek with my ward family. i was joined with Captain Nelson's family. Captain Nelson is my bishop and dear friend. in the picture below the tall lanky bugger is he. These pictures were taken the first day as you can see your pants are rolled up but it did us no good cause once we entered the sweet water river the water came clear up to my waist.

What everyone has been waiting to see.

Here is the ring, yep the engagement ring. here are two pictures of it on her finger, and a couple just so you can see what it looks like.
